Established in 1998 on the fine wool sheep grazing property by the Edginton & Sinclair families, The Bend Vineyard sits on a hill above the 1860’s homestead on a north east facing slope providing good cold air drainage down towards the river thus reducing the risk of frost. Vines run north to south for full sun exposure. The small 2.5 hectare vineyard of 16,000 vines produces about 350 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon and 250 cases of Riesling each year. Vines are hand tendered throughout the growing season right up to and including harvest and continues on through pruning. Howard uses organic principles from fertilizers through to pest control.

The Riesling displays fresh green apple and delicate lime aromas. A crisp wine with a robust lemon flavour finishing clean and refreshingly dry.
