Mountain D Full Bodied Dry Red

A tribute to Maurice O'Shea, this wine takes its name from his old ways of naming wines, by style rather than variety. 'Mountain D' was the code name given to O'Shea's full bodied expression of Hunter Valley Shiraz. Hand-picked and cold soaked for 5 days. A rigorous pumping over routine followed inoculation, with the wine pressed off at dryness. Transferred to 50% new French oak barriques for 12 months before blending.

Intense black fruits, spice and toasty notes dominate the nose with some subtle licorice notes. The palate is intense and long with lovely structure, rich and dense with dark fruits at the fore.
