2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

In keeping with our cellering policy our Reserve wines are laid down for 6 years before release. Yarra Valley wines are renowned for their ability to age and improve over a long time. We have adopted the philosophy to allow our wines to show their best by having them made to age and improve over time.

This particular Cabernet Merlot was laid down for 7 years before release and in 2019 it is drinking superbly. This is a medium bodied wine with a fantastic nose of cassis, plum and cedar, on the palate rich blackcurrant from the Merlot shines through with typically aged Cabernet characters of leather and tobacco developing and displaying rich, soft and long tannins.

This is a sniffing and sipping wine for after dinner to be enjoyed for its own sake.
