Grey Sands is a small, family owned & operated vineyard in the Tamar Valley in northern Tasmania.
Our vineyard is hand tended, picked & pruned. We are unirrigated as we want maximum concentration in our wines rather than maximum yield.
Bob's philosophy of wine making is 'hands off'....indigenous yeasts do the fermenting with minimal human intervention. The resultant full bodied, dry table wines truly show a 'sense of place' with great cellaring potential.
We know that our wines require initial cellaring, so we do that for you. We release our wines when they are ready for your enjoyment, but still with plenty of cellaring potential.
